Q: I have a 2004 Lexus RX330, when driving at 30mph it makes crackling noises. What could it be?
The crackling noises sound like a broken plastic somewhere between the seats midway and towards the rear. Usually only when accellerating or slowing down at approx 30 mph.
I took it to Lexus service and the mechanic could not find the source.
A: It's gonna a game of having someone pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from when you are driving and they are looking or listening for it.

A: Proper way would be to say:
I have several Lexus automobiles or I have three Lexus automotibles. Lexus needs no "es" or "s" on it as it stands alone as one or multiple.
I worked at a Lexus Dealership and we never said Lexuses, Lexus's, etc. It was just Lexus.
Q: What kind of headlights does a Lexus have?
I know the headlights on a Lexus are brighter than GM cars, what kind are they, I do not think they are halogen and can they be installed in a Cadillac?
the Cadillac is 2003 DTS and does not have a wiring harness for HID lites.
A: Lexus uses many different systems for lighting. There are some with halogens, but those have been phased out on all the newer ones. All the newer ones contain HID lighting in a projector. Halogen bulbs reflect into a housing and spread light around as even as the reflector (big shiny part in the headlight) can. However a projector uses a focused beam of light in a conical surrouding and literally throws the light directly out of the bulb through the lens and onto the street. This means it is very focused, and not spread everywhere like up high blinding other people.
HID bulbs in general are much brighter than halogen fillament bulbs. So for the same area, there is more light making it brighter.
You can put HID kits on any car, but it is definately not recommended. Because a HID bulb puts out so much more light, reflecting that back into a halogen reflector, you now reflect a lot of that light up into the sky and into the eyes of oncoming drivers. This is unsafe and illegal for just this reason.
You can do a retrofit which takes out your relfector, and puts in a projector from different cars. It is a lot of work, but the results are OEM if done correctly.

Q: What would most likely win in a race, a Lexus ES350 or a Mazdaspeed 3?
I'm just curious to know this cause I know the lexus has more hp but the mazda is smaller. I think the lexus will outperform but I'm not sure.
A: I would pick the Lexus. However, I haven't compared both of these cars in depth so perhaps I'd be wrong in the choice I selected here.
EDIT: Based on the latest post here, the stats may indeed favor the Mazdaspeed 3 - but not by much. Therefore, I would have to add that if you're truly going to set up a race between these 2 cars .... the winner will come down to how good each individual driver is.

A: most after market systems are plug and play. do not let the dealer install it. they would charge too much. with that said u would want to purchase a phillips hid kit. they are one of the best. all u need is the bulb number. heres a link so u can get an idea

The car is a Lexus Es300 2003. Manufacturer doesnt say it has to have premium but for some reason the previous owner put premium in it for about 2 years. Help!!??
A: Yes you can! Again, yes you can. Any modern car will run on regular unleaded. Some really high end cars require premium or super for optimum performance. But if it's not a high end (Bentley, Maserati, Lamborghini, Corvette or other exotic high end car) it will perform quite well on regular unleaded.
I own a Lexus. Premium is suggested but not required for optimum performance.

Hey there, my horn and cruise control do not work on my is200 and we believe it is the clock spring as the horn works when the alarm go off and lexus say the cruise work, and the stick works but think it too is the clock spring.

A: the clock spring has to do with your airbag and to replace it you have to remove the steering wheel airbag cover and the airbag make sure you disc the battery b4 you do it or you might deploy the bag
