Q: I have a Kia Sedona. The engine is knocking, just started today. What is the knocking?
The car has 65K miles. I checked the oil, very low to none. No alarm lights came on. I added 3 quarts of oil. The knocking is still going on. Do you know what's wrong with the engine and why it's knocking? Thanks for your response.
A: If it was ran with no or very little oil, it's probably pretty much trashed inside. The bearings are most likely the cause, but the rods and journals on the crankshaft are proably damaged too. Put synthetic oil in it from now on and see if it stops, if it doesn't, it most likely needs bearings. But keep in mind, the cylinder walls and rings were proably fried pretty good as was probably pretty much everthing there. Good luck!
Q: 04 Kia Sedona Mini Keys?
I just bought an 04 Kia Sedona LX and it came with 2 mini keys and the used car lot that I bought them from didn't know what they were for. Any ideas?
A: Try the lock box under the front passenger seat.

A: Definately go for the Kia Sedona! I have one (32,000 miles without a problem) and I would never buy anything but a Kia again. For some reason, people give Kia a bad rap. I have owned 3 without even one problem! The Sedona has PLENTY of power! When I first drove it I was amazed that I was in a minivan! Buy the EX model though. WAYYY better than the rest of the '08 vans I have seen (Including Dodge and Chrysler. The 180 swivel seats are dangerous if you get into a collision). Sedona is your best bet.

A: The recent Kia Sedona's are excellent minivans because they are effectively lower priced Hyundais, and Hyundais are really excellent cars for the money.

A: People knock Kia's, but I'll tell ya one thing....my husband was in a head on collision with a drunk driver on the freeway. He was in a Kia, and the guy who hit him was in a Toyota. The Kia was totalled BUT the airbags deployed and even though the doors were ripped off, the seatbelts held. My husband escaped with minimal damage considering the crash. Say what you want about Kia, but from personal knowledge, I can tell you that this car held up in a dangerous collision.

Q: I have kia sedona, 3.5 V6. Missfires on cylinders 1,3,5, after running. Has new plugs and wires. any help?
2001 kia sedona. 3.5 V-6. It starts and runs fine for a period of time then sputters very bad. Was checked and told cylinders 1,3,5 were missfiring. Took it to Kia and changed plugs and wires. Did not help. does not overheat so probably not head gasket. Thought it could be the coil pack, but there are 3,any help would be great. thanks jason
A: Coil pak. You will have to buy one, maybe two.

We only have a family of 3, and never really need to haul stuff around. The minivans are a little safer but Camry has better handling and gas mileage. If you had to choose between a minivan, which would you prefer?
A: As an ex Toyota salesman, without a doubt Camry. With a five year residual resale of near 60% of original value if taken care of, this vehicle blows away almost all of the competition. As a matter of fact only two vehicles have a better resale, Honda Civic (which would be too small for your family) and Chevy Suburban (which would be too large)! Take care of the oil changes and the Camry will last forever! This is a no brainer. Enjoy your new Camry. PS... go with the LE.

A: Funny cos I am watching Top Gear Mini MPV's at the Moment and Top Gears verdict is the Toyota Corolla Verso is the best mini MPV, well at least my Poster is Fresh out of Top Gear.

Q: Why is the fuel line over TWO FEET of PLASTIC in the Kia Sedona? It is also not protected at all by metal.?
I understand ease of getting to the fuel tank, but only having plastic underneath makes it easy to get damaged. How many other vehicles have this like it?
MC...Since I RAN over something on the interstate, I WILL worry about why they pass off plastic on something that SHOULD be metal. It would have bounced off the car if it was metal verses getting a hole torn in the dam thing.
How can it be "SAFE" when it can get holes very easily?
A: i own a shop an a lot of other cars also have this ,they say its as safe, but i don't see how it could be,but a lot of the KIA,s are made this way,and i think some of the Saturn's are also,its the cheaper way to build a better vehicle according to them,to me i don't think its safe,but time will tell,good luck hope this helps.
